Dear ED Students,
This is to remind you that an optional course has the same status as any other subject. It means that you are obliged to obtain credits each year of your studies from the 1st till 5th year.

Required number of hours and ECTS points of optional courses in the academic year 2025/2026:
Year I    – 90 hours – 6 ECTS points (3 optional subjects)
Year II   – 90 hours – 6 ECTS points (3 optional subjects)
Year III  – 60 hours – 4 ECTS points (2 optional subjects)
Year IV – 60 hours – 4 ECTS points (2 optional subjects)
Year V  – 60 hours – 4 ECTS points (2 optional subjects)

In case you fail to do so, it will be treated equally as if you failed other subjects.
Overall number of optional courses a student has to do is 10, and overall number of optional courses‘ hours is 300.

They have to be completed between 1st – 4th or 5th years of studies.
Also, please bear in mind that once you sign up for a particular class from the list, you are obliged to complete this optional course!
