Requirements for High-school graduates 2024

Application path for high-school graduates is open. 

You can obtain a university qualification before receiving your secondary school leaving certificate.


Before setting an application in the ORS, please send your:

predicted grades

to recruitment@wum.edu.pl

We will check your eligibility and tell you how to proceed with your application.
*If you have UCAT/BMAT/MCAT/GAMSAT then attach a scan of your results to your letter (not a mandatory document).


To be eligible to apply, you must have one of the following upon graduation in 2024:
1. A high school-leaving examination certificate,
2. Secondary education diploma with transcript,
3. A document confirming your secondary education.

If you are yet to graduate in 2024, please upload your predicted grades into the ORS system.

What are the predicted grades?

A predicted grades certificate is a document with the grades you will receive on your high-school leaving certificate/diploma or information on which subjects you will be taking examinations at the end of high school. This document must be stamped and signed by the school’s principal or another school representative.

Mandatory subjects and grades:
A) Biology – a passing grade, level of subject must be equivalent to the extended level of the written baccalaureate examination.
B) Chemistry – a passing grade, level of subject must be equivalent to the extended level of the written baccalaureate examination.
C) And choose one subject from:
– Physics and astronomy
– Physics
– Mathematics
You should present a passing grade. Level of any subject mentioned in the point “C" must be equivalent to the standard or extended level of the written baccalaureate examination.

The above requirements pertain to all Candidates applying to the Medical University of Warsaw 6-year Medical Program, including Polish or international candidates, IB*/EB* students, as well as, university students and Bachelor or Master degree holders.

Each Candidate must also take the Competency Test.

*Note for IB/EB holders only: please upload your predicted grades certificate into a system, but do not input your grades into a ‘Grades and Results’ tab in the ORS.

If you are to graduate from high-school in 2024, but don’t have mandatory subjects:
You can take an extra exam in such a subject with the competency test or as a separate exam (only those eligible on the basis of UCAT/BMAT/MCAT/GAMSAT certificates).

We organise exams in Biology, Chemistry and Physics.

Sets of documents required in the ORS at the initial stage of recruitment
for High-school graduates 2024:

1. A predicted grades certificate (a document with the grades that you will receive in the last year of your high-school or on your high-school leaving certificate/diploma). This document has to be stamped and signed by your high-school principal or other school representative.
2. Scan of the passport. Polish citizens should upload a scan of their identity card.

Above documents must be in English or Polish, or have a certified translation to English or Polish attached.

The full set of documents (Your final Admission File) will be required upon receipt of the qualification (Status: Qualified, Place is confirmed). You will be given approximately 30 days to prepare Your final Admission File.
We will provide you with detailed information and a checklist with templates of documents after place confirmation.

Documents confirming the fluency in English:
(Required as part of final Admission File)
– citizenship of a country in which English is the official language
– IB Diploma (International Baccalaureate)
– EB Diploma (Issued in Brussels)
– completion of secondary or post-secondary education with English as language of instruction
– Language certificates recognized by the Medical University of Warsaw:
IELTS Academic – Overall Band Score at least 6.5 points
TOEFL iBT – at least 87 points
TOEFL PBT – at least 547 points (at least 210 points in the computer system)
TOEIC – at least 700 points
Certificate in Advanced English (CAE)
Certificate of Proficiency in English (CPE)
– Polish baccalaureate examination (egzamin maturalny) with the result of the written examination in English (advanced level) of at least 80%
– Candidates who completed their secondary education in Scandinavian countries:
Norway: grade in English in secondary school at least: 4
Sweden: grade in English in secondary school at least: VG or C
Denmark: grade in English in secondary school at least: 7


You will be included in the list of students if you submit the required final Admission File by the deadline set by the Admission Board.
