Teaching Update (December 13, 2020)
Dear Students,
I want to answer your numerous questions regarding teaching rules after the Rector’s Order No 272/2020 and the Dean Krenke’s letter to the Departments.
- It will not be necessary to make up in-person classes that were conducted entirely online. Nevertheless, the Departments can organize extra in-person classes for those interested.
- The Rector’s Order No 272/2020 doesn’t apply to classes and subjects that took place before this Order was published and which were conducted solely online due to the Department’s decision. In this circumstance, the Departments can also offer extra classes to interested students.
- It is recommended that the students participate in all practical classes that will be offered in any available form (in-person or online teaching). The Dean’s Office will always support the students in case of objective obstacles in attending the classes. However, we all should be aware of the fact that the capacity of the Departments is limited and it may be necessary to balance between your expectations and their possibilities in making up the classes later.
- The examinations during winter session will be held both online and in-person. The decision on the mode of examination is left to the Departments. However, the Dean’s Office suggests in-person examinations as a more objective way of verification of learning outcomes.
- Information update on restoring preclinical in-person teaching in January 2021 will be issued until December 18, 2020.
With warm regards,
Your Dean, Jacek Sienko
