Innovative noninvasive ventilation helmet
Innovative noninvasive ventilation helmet
In response to the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus pandemic and respiratory failure in COVID-19 patients, Łukasz Wróblewski, an anesthesiologist from the II Department of Anesthesiology and Intensive Care at the MUW UCC hospital, has developed a noninvasive ventilation helmet Studies shown that the bubble-helmet not only helps COVID-19 patients in respiratory failure but it can also be used to treat early stages of respiratory failure in general. In some cases, a noninvasive ventilation helmet can be used instead of mechanical ventilation. The project is implemented with the help of engineering teams from the Military University of Technology and the Warsaw University of Technology, and in cooperation with the Faculty of Industrial Design of the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw
