Step 1
Read the requirements.
Choose the correct recruitment path.
Prepare the required documents.
Email the scans of the required documents
to the Admission Office (recruitment@wum.edu.pl)
if necessary.
Step 2
Apply online.
Select the correct type of online application. Types of applications in ORS:
1. Secondary school-leaving certificate / High school diploma - application for each candidate who will sit the competency test, and their certificate differs from those in points 2, 3 and 5.
2. IB Diploma (International Baccalaureate issued in Geneva) - application for IB Diploma holders who will sit the competency test.
3. EB Diploma (Issued in Brussels) - application for EB Diploma holders who will sit the competency test.
4. UCAT/BMAT/MCAT/GAMSAT/HPAT OR BSc/MSc Diploma - application for candidates who have obtained exemption from the competency test based on relevant documents.
5. New Polish maturity certificate holders (PL) - application for New Polish maturity certificate holders who will sit the competency test.
The last day to register online is June 30, 2026.
The last qualification for the competency test ends on July 01, 2026.

Step 3
Pay the application fee.
EUR 24 – if you will sit the Medical University of Warsaw (MUW) competency test.
EUR 20 – if you are going to submit your UCAT, BMAT, MCAT, GAMSAT, or HPAT score*.
EUR 20 – if you hold a Bachelor of Science (BSc) or Master of Science (MSc) degree*.
The application fee is non-refundable and must be paid by bank transfer.
Please note: The Admission Board considers only paid applications.
*Please confirm whether current legislation permits you to use this recruitment method.

Step 4
Obtain qualification (Criterion 2).
It depends on the recruitment path you intend to follow:
Write our Competency Test,
OR
Present your UCAT/BMAT/MCAT/GAMSAT/HPAT score,
OR
If you hold a Bachelor of Science (BSc) or Master of Science (MSc) degree, use a university GPA.
Qualification in the recruitment path you choose means how the points of criterion 2 are calculated.
Ranking points depend on the scores obtained in Criteria 1 and 2.
The first criterion is the points calculated from the grades in the document confirming the completion of secondary education. Criterion one applies to all candidates.

Competency test consists of
80 questions divided into 3 sections:

Chemistry – 30 questions
Decision Making – 20 questions

During the competency test, you may use the Periodic Table.

UCAT/BMAT/MCAT/GAMSAT/HPAT score.
Not every UCAT/BMAT/MCAT/GAMSAT/HPAT certificate holder is exempt from the competency test.
Please confirm whether current legislation permits you to use this recruitment method.
Get confirmation. Please email the English Division Admissions Office at recruitment@wum.edu.pl a set of documents:
1. A scan of a certificate with your score
2. Your high school diploma with transcripts/school-leaving certificate OR predicted grades
3. Your passport, to confirm your nationality

University GPA
(If you hold a Bachelor of Science (BSc) or Master of Science (MSc)
Not every person with a Bachelor's or Master's degree is exempt from the competency test.

Get confirmation. Please email the English Division Admissions Office at recruitment@wum.edu.pl a set of documents before setting up an online application in the Online Registration System (ORS):
1. The BSc or MSc diploma in life sciences with the official transcript
2. The grading scale used at your previous university, if not included on the official transcript
3. School-leaving certificate OR high school diploma with transcripts entitling to pursue higher education in Poland, recognised automatically by law (mandatory)
4. Your passport, to confirm your nationality
Step 5
Pay the Start-up Fee for Tuition (Confirmation Fee).
Complete your Admission File.
Your application status is Accepted – The Admission Board has received and accepted your Admission File.
You are entered on the student list.
Plan your participation in Orientation Week.
