Admission & Tuition Fees

Application Fees

The application fee depends on the recruitment path you intend to follow.
The application fee is non-refundable and must be paid by bank transfer.
Please note: The Admission Board considers only paid applications.

Recruitment Path: Competency Test

The Application Fee is EUR 24 if you will sit the competency test.
It is the essential and most common recruitment path for the 6-year Medicine Program at the Medical University of Warsaw.
Information for High School Graduates 2026: You can participate in recruitment before you graduate from high school. Request a certificate of predicted grades from the school.

Recruitment Path: Medical Standardised Test Score

EUR 20 – if you are going to submit your UCAT, BMAT, MCAT, GAMSAT or HPAT score.

Note: Pursuant to the Act of 4 April, 2025, on amending certain acts to eliminate irregularities in the visa system of the Republic of Poland (Journal of Laws of 2025, item 622), the rules of admission to long-cycle degree programmes have been amended.
Most candidates are not eligible for exemption from the competency test.

Get confirmation that the Admission Board will accept your certificate score before setting up an online application in the Online Registration System (ORS).

Please email the English Division Admissions Office at recruitment@wum.edu.pl a set of documents:
1. A scan of a certificate with your score
2. Your high school diploma with transcripts/school-leaving certificate OR predicted grades
3. Your passport, to confirm your nationality

Recruitment Path: University GPA

EUR 20 – if you hold a Bachelor of Science (BSc) or Master of Science (MSc) degree.

Get confirmation that you may be assessed based on your GPA before setting up an online application in the Online Registration System (ORS).

Please email the English Division Admissions Office at recruitment@wum.edu.pl a set of documents:
1. Your high school diploma with transcripts/school-leaving certificate (mandatory)
2. Your passport, to confirm your nationality
3. The BSc or MSc diploma in life sciences with the official transcript
4. The grading scale used at your previous university, if not included on the official transcript

 


Start-up Fee for Tuition (Confirmation Fee)

The confirmation fee is 1000 EUR. It is part of the tuition fee but is non-refundable*.
Only candidates who have been qualified for the 6-year MD Program in English are required to pay the place confirmation fee. 

*If the candidate pays the confirmation fee but withdraws from the admissions process by submitting a written request to the Admissions Board before 15 July 2026, they are eligible for a refund of 500 EUR.

Payment of the Start-up Fee for Tuition (Confirmation Fee) confirms the place, but the candidate must still complete the remaining university admission procedures. If they do not complete these procedures by the Admission Board's deadline, their application will be closed (status: Resignation), and the confirmation fee will not be refunded.

The confirmation fee must be paid by bank transfer only. Use your personal account number generated by the online registration system when making your bank transfer payment.

Note: the Medical University of Warsaw accepts only bank transfers in EUR; therefore, please ensure the amount transferred from a foreign currency is converted to the required amount in EUR.
Banks' fees should be taken into account when making the transfer. Please ask your bank what commissions they charge.


Payment procedure

The application fee and confirmation fee are non-refundable and must be paid by bank transfer.
The Online Recruitment System will generate an account number dedicated to your application. Please, use only the personal account number generated by the ORS when making your payments by bank transfer.

Please note:
The Medical University of Warsaw accepts only bank transfer payments in EUR. Therefore, please ensure that, before sending payment, the amount being transferred from a foreign currency is sufficient in EUR to cover the required amount and any bank service charges.

Please consult your bank or a live currency converter for equivalent amounts in EUR.
Remember also to cover any bank service charges in the transfer payment.

All and any handling charges related to the transfer, refunds, and currency conversion fees are the candidates' responsibility.

Please be aware that it can take up to 5 days for the Online Registration System (ORS) to confirm receipt of your payment.
The Admission Office does not have access to bank accounts and does not manually confirm payments.
Payments are posted automatically
to the bank account linked to the candidate's ORS application.
You will receive an automatic email regarding this. Transfer time depends on the banks' processing times and can take a few days.

Remember: The bank account number generated during the registration is dedicated to a particular ORS account – includes your ID number at the end.
Only this account number should be used to pay the application/confirmation fee. It cannot be used for any other payments (e.g., application or confirmation fees for siblings or friends).
