Basic science and pre-medical training of the English Division students are provided in the form of lectures, seminars, and practical classes by more than 70 departments and clinics of the Medical University of Warsaw.
Clinical training takes place at the 6 University hospitals, the University’s Medical Simulation Center and at affiliated hospitals.

Throughout the 6-Year MD Program, students are assessed on their knowledge and skills. The learning process of the students is supervised by the teaching staff during their entire education and training at the Medical University of Warsaw. Medical students’ theoretical knowledge is checked in the form of tests, and a written and oral exam at the end of the course. Practical clinical skills are regularly evaluated in order to ensure effective high-quality training.  Students graduate with a completed Register of Student Skills essential for medical practice.

All the teaching staff of the English Division are employed either on a full-time basis or on a part-time basis. They also work as researchers or medical practitioners at the Medical University of Warsaw’s basic science, pre-clinical and clinical departments.

Students interested in writing the USMLE (the United States Medical Licensing Examination) Step I are eligible once they have completed the 3-year pre-clinical curriculum. Upon completion of the 3-year clinical training, students can sit the USMLE Step II.
