Transfer application process at WUM's Faculty of Medicine

transfers

Dear Transfer Students,

Students from medical universities in Poland who attended medical program in English language can apply for transfer to the 6-year medical program at the Medical University of Warsaw (WUM) for the academic year 2025/2026. The transfer will only be possible to the 2nd and 3rd year of studies. Transfer may take place only at the beginning of the academic year, once the student has completed the previous academic year and has met all the requisites operative at the university the student is leaving.

Please also be informed that from the academic year 2024/2025 transfers are only possible from Polish Universities.

A student who wants to be transferred to WUM must complete the academic year in the previous university, must obtain credits in all subjects and must pass all required exams.
Study in English Division at MUW is paid by a tuition fee. Please confirm the tuition fee with the Dean's Office.

The idea behind a transfer is that the new institution can recognize the previous academic record of a student from his/her home institution. Therefore, a student can start studying in the second or third year.
The transfer is only possible from a Medicine program (6-year), not any other study program. It is an essential formal requirement. Transfers from other fields of study are not possible.

Your program of studies at home institution will be compared to appropriate program at WUM, which you can check below:

  • For students who want to transfer to second year, your home institution program will be compared to WUM program 2024/25
  • For students who want to transfer to third year, your home institution program will be compared to WUM program 2023/24
