When to apply?
You can participate in recruitment before you graduate from high school.
Recruitment for the 6-year Medicine Program at the Medical University of Warsaw begins in March, and you can participate from the beginning.
Still, you must get the relevant certificate from your school: predicted grades.
Predicted grades
A predicted grades certificate is a document with the subjects you complete and the grades you will receive on your school-leaving certificate/high school diploma.
The school's principal or another school representative must stamp and sign this document.
Documents must be in English or Polish or include a certified translation into English or Polish.
- If your school does not issue predicted grades, ask for a transcript of your Year 11 grades, the first term of Year 12, and the names of the subjects you will be studying in the second term.
- If you are in a school with an American curriculum, additionally ask for information on what grades you passed at the Advanced Placement (AP) level. Remember that there will also have to be such information next to the grade on the final transcript.
Note: If the predicted grades for the end of Year 12 do not include the required subjects, you must enter the certificates for all secondary school years (Years 10+11+predicted grades OR Years 9+10+11+predicted grades) into the ORS system.
The Admission Board will decide whether you need to take an additional exam in the missing subject.
If any person also passes a competency test, an exam in the missing subject is organised simultaneously.
What recruitment path can I take?
Recruitment Path: Competency Test
Application fee: EUR 24
It is the most common path for admission to our University.
Note: Taking a competency test is the only legally possible recruitment path if your high school diploma requires the NAWA's Director's individual recognition statement.
You must sit a competency test if your secondary school leaving certificate is on the NAWA list.
Recruitment Path: Medical Standardised Test Scores*
Application fee: EUR 20
You must have a UCAT/BMAT/MCAT/GAMSAT/HPAT certificate before applying.
UCAT, BMAT, MCAT, GAMSAT, and HPAT certificates are recognised within 5 years from the issue date.
Not every UCAT/BMAT/MCAT/GAMSAT/HPAT certificate holder is exempt from the competency test. It depends on the score.
The Admission Board suggests taking the competency test if the score is insufficient.
Please email a set of scans to the English Division Admissions Office at recruitment@wum.edu.pl before setting up an online application in the Online Registration System (ORS).
Get confirmation that the Admission Board will accept your certificate score.

- Certificates or other documents issued by schools operating in education systems of a EU, EFTA or OECD member state which allow access to higher education institutions in those countries (at present: Australia, Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Canada, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Japan, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Mexico, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, South Korea, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Turkey, the United Kingdom, the United States)

The Admission Board will check whether you will obtain documents confirming your secondary school graduation recognised by operation of law in Poland based on your predicted grades and information from your school.
The Admission Board reserves the right to request additional information and documents in case of uncertainty.
If the documents confirming eligibility to commence studies are not recognised by operation of law in Poland, the candidate must take a competency test to participate in the recruitment process.

My application shows a status of Qualified, Place confirmation. What does this mean?
You were offered a place at the University. The Admission Board is awaiting your confirmation of your place at the University and payment of the confirmation fee. You have seven days to do this. You will receive instructions on how to confirm your place. Confirmation fee (1000 EUR) is part of the tuition fee and is non-refundable.
Payment of the confirmation fee confirms the place, but the candidate must complete the remaining university admission procedures.
If they do not complete these procedures by the Admission Board's deadline, their application will be closed (status: Resignation), and the confirmation fee will not be refunded.
I do not yet have documents certifying secondary education (final grades). What steps do I need to take?
You will receive instructions from the Admission Board and begin preparing the Admission File.
What happens if my final grades are lower than the predicted grades?
The Admission Board's decision will not change if you graduate from high school.
The mandatory grades on a document certifying completion of secondary education must be considered passing grades.
In other words, when you get a high school diploma, it must comply with the admission criteria.
