Student Scientific Societies

Students can develop their particular interests by joining a Student Scientific Society. There are almost 200 Student Scientific Societies registered under the MUW Student Scientific Society. Students can also challenge themselves by participating in international scientific conferences held in Poland or abroad, like the University’s prestigious Warsaw International Medical Conference (WIMC). Each year, the Student Scientific Society presents a graduating student with “The Golden Badge” in recognition of their achievements in research and at conferences.

Among the active Student Scientific Societies, English Division students are engaged in the Czerniakowski Hospital Surgery Society, the ANKONA Anaesthesiology Society, the Neuropsychiatric Society, the Cardiology Society, and the PSYCHE Psychology Society.

First year students can test their knowledge in anatomy at the renowned national Scapula Aurea/Golden Scapula competition, while more senior students can test their skills in the National Medical Simulation competition.

A preliminary list of Student Scientific Societies available to English speaking students has been compiled by the English Division Student Government.
